Who is Anarxix?

Anarxix first made his appearance in 2008, in a game called Final Fantasy XI. A fantasy MMO where adventures and shenanigans were shared amongst himself and his original gaming crew. Throughout the years, Anarxix dabbled with recording gaming footage from his Xbox 360 to his laptop via Roxio gaming capture card. His interest was peaked and content creation suddenly became a great passion of his.

Attending college, Anarxix discovered that he had a passion for filmmaking. Filming many student short films and small gigs, he soon developed an eye for photography and cinematography. Leaving college, he was working on movie sets and getting to know the basics of how the film industry truly operates. October 2017, Anarxix started his first actual stream on Twitch, with a game called The Evil Within. Being a small streamer and learning all the basics, he quickly gained a small community and just had fun playing a variety of games. After many years of working on films and gaming, he seized a job opportunity that took him from the Midwest, where he grew up, to the filmmaking capital of Los Angeles. Which put a halt on streaming.

It was quite a rush, moving from the Midwest to Los Angeles. He created content for a small startup company and was working for film productions on the side. Even managed to get onto a union set and start gaining hours to join the film union.

It was not until February of 2020, two years after moving to LA, that he had a new setup and returned to streaming on Twitch, where he was welcomed by new faces that would quickly become lifelong friends. After a few months of streaming variety, he picked up a game that would change his life forever; a game by the name of Star Citizen. Immediately on the first day of streaming SC, Anarxix was bombarded by the games community and knew that this was something he wanted to be a part of. Star Citizen quickly became an addiction to not only stream, but to invest in the community and spend time in other Twitch channels. It goes without saying that this took the channel to another level and Anarxix found his niche.

Everything seemed to be going fine, that was up until a pandemic hit the world, and crippled the film industry. Covid-19 shook the world, but instead of seeing this as a loss, Anarxix quickly saw this as an opportunity to pump out more content than ever before.

Given one hell of a nudge from the situation, Anarxix was pulling twelve hour Star Citizen streams on a full-time schedule. After these long streams, there were coffee-fueled nights of creating graphics and optimizing the stream. Revenue from the streams went towards streaming gear and anything that benefitted the quality of the stream.

Anarxix had a vision of the entertainment he wanted to provide to his viewers. Influenced by cyberpunk and futurism, Anarxix yearned for a stream that pushed the boundaries of interactivity between viewer and creator while also offering a retro-cybery aesthetic with cinematic appeal. This work will never be done however with the advancement of new technologies and the world of content creation itself constantly evolving.

And so the Retro Raider continues to stream, create content, and build a community of incredible individuals who cheer on and support one another.

AND THE STORY CONTINUES…
